Turchynov arrives in Joint Forces Operation area because of aggravation of situation

Due to the aggravating situation in eastern Ukraine during the last week, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has arrived at Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area.
This has been reported by the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
"Secretary of the NSDC Turchynov held a meeting with military commandment and heads of security forces on the effectiveness of countering Russian aggression in the transition from the Anti-Terrorist Operation to the Joint Forces Operation," the report reads.
According to Turchynov, the largest amount of shellings in half-a-year period was conducted during the last week; not only positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine but also populated areas were massively shelled.
