The Javelin portable anti-tank missile systems have been tested in Ukraine for the first time, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has reported on Facebook.
"This day has finally come," he said.
According to the head of state, the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have increased significantly thanks to Javelin missiles.
"This is a very effective defensive weapon, which will be used in the event of a Russian offensive on the position of Ukrainian troops," Poroshenko said.
