Militants launched 50 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms at Ukrainian positions near Butovka coal mine, Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk. ATO troops outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) came under 82mm and grenade launcher fire. The enemy also opened fire from grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk), heavy machine guns – near Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Vodiane and Talakivka, weapons on infantry combat vehicles – outside Bohdanivka, small arms – near Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Avdiivka and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Ukrainian strongholds in the area of Hnutove came under sniper fire.

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants shelled Ukrainian positions outside Popasna (90 km north-west of Luhansk) and Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), using 82mm mortars. Illegal armed formations also used grenade launchers to shell defenders of Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), heavy machine guns – near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), sniper rifles - Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk) and Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk).

One Ukrainian soldier was wounded and another one was injured as a result of the enemy fire.
