Militants launched 64 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 64 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 120mm mortars on Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Berdianske (20km east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). In addition, illegal armed formations opened fire from tanks outside Vodiane, Pisky and Kamyanka, from 82mm mortars – outside Pisky, Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol), Lebedynske and Butovka coal mine. Militants also used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell defenders of Lebedynske, Avdiivka, Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), Talakivka, Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka, Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Vodiane, Butovka coal mine, Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol). The enemy shelled ATO troops outside Pisky, Krasnohorivka and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) from weapons on infantry combat vehicles and used antitank missile system near Shyrokyne.

In Luhansk direction, the aggressor fired at Ukrainian strongholds near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns. Weapons on infantry combat vehicles was used by terrorists near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

Four Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in enemy shelling, and another one soldier was injured.
