Ukraine is ready to increase its presence in peacekeeping forces in other regions and territories if necessary, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

He said this at a joint briefing with Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We discussed with Mr. President the situation in occupied Donbas. The Austrian president once again assured [Ukraine] of Vienna's readiness to contribute to the deployment of a United Nations peacekeeping force, following the decision of the UN Security Council. And I suggested that, if this is necessary, Ukraine is ready to increase its presence in peacekeeping forces in other regions and territories," Poroshenko said.
