Militants launched 15 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 15 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations fired 122mm and 100mm artillery, mortars, weapons on infantry combat vehicles, anti-aircraft mounts and grenade launchers near Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). Militants also used 82mm mortars and small arms outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk). The defenders of Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk) came under anti-tank missile system and grenade launcher fire.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 120mm mortars near Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol) and Lomakyne (15km north-east of Mariupol). Ukrainian strongholds outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) came under 82mm mortar, weapons on infantry combat vehicles and heavy machine gun fire. Militants also used automatic grenade launchers to shell the suburbs of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk).

As a result of the enemy shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, another five soldiers were wounded and two soldiers were injured.
