Militants launched 7 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

“Over the past day, Russian-backed militants launched seven attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian servicemen had to return fire twice. As a result of the enemy shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was killed. In addition, two soldiers sustained fatal injuries after their military vehicle had been blown up by a land mine. Another five servicemen got injured,” the report reads.

As reported, terrorists continue to disrupt the ceasefire agreements of the Trilateral Contact Group and shell the Ukrainian positions with weapons, banned under the Minsk agreements.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations used grenade launchers of different types and 120mm mortars near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, Russian mercenaries fired at ATO troops outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), using 82mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms. Militants also used 82mm mortars near Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and grenade launchers and small arms near Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) to launch provocative attacks on Ukrainian troops. In addition, the enemy fired 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms at the outskirts of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) for over an hour. Illegal armed formations also violated ceasefire near Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk), using small arms.
