Ukraine allocates UAH 16.4 bln for weapons and military equipment this year

In 2018, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine allocated UAH 16.4 billion for the development, purchase, modernization and repair of weapons, military machinery, facilities and equipment.
This is stated in the annex No. 3 to the State Budget for 2018, published on the Parliament's website.
At the same time, the total amount of financing of the Defense Ministry is UAH 86.6 billion this year, which is more than 20% more than last year.
On September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted for consideration the draft state budget for 2018 to the parliament. On December 7, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the corresponding law, and it was signed by the president on December 30.
