The withdrawal of Russian officers from the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) that was set up to ensure the ceasefire regime and stabilize the situation in Donbas should be properly assessed by the participants of the peace talks in the Normandy format (France, Germany, Ukraine and Russia).
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov stated this to journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"I hope that the Normandy format will react to Russia's attempts not only to escalate the conflict but to completely erase the possibility to stop the aggression of Russia in the east of Ukraine and in Crimea by political and diplomatic means," he said.
As reported, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM) confirmed the withdrawal of the Russian side from the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC), which was set up to ensure a ceasefire and stabilize the situation in Donbas.
