Militants launched 19 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

"Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 19 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 12 times. As a result of fighting, two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded," the statement reads.

The tensest situation was observed in Luhansk direction, where Russian-backed militants launched attacks on defenders of Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), using 82mm mortars and weapons on infantry fighting vehicles. The same types of weapons were used to fire at Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk). ATO troops also came under the enemy fire outside Trokhizbenka (33km north-west of Luhansk), Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk) and Valuiske (20km north-east of Luhansk). In addition, militants fired 122mm artillery on Ukrainian positions on the outskirts of Staryi Aidar (20km north-west of Luhansk).

In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations opened fire from grenade launchers on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, ATO troops came under small arms fire outside Slavne (25km south-west of Donetsk).
