About 3,500 servicepersons to participate in Rapid Trident-2017 exercise

About 3,500 servicepersons will take part in the Ukrainian-American Rapid Trident-2017 joint military exercise in Lviv region in early September.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesperson, Colonel Maksym Prauta stated this at a press briefing on Tuesday, August 22, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“In September, the International Peacekeeping Security Center in Lviv region will host the Ukrainian-American Rapid Trident-2017 exercises involving about 3,500 servicepersons. In particular, up to 1,500 will be from Ukraine’s Armed Forces and up to 1,000 - from the US Armed Forces," Prauta said.
He also added about 1,000 soldiers from other NATO member states and countries participating in the Partnership for Peace program will participate in the military exercise.
