Ukraine, Georgia discuss mutual trainings of armed forces
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at the press conference upon negotiations with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Today we have discussed how to strengthen this partnership. There are many ideas how mutual training of fighters of our armed forces will be carried out – both on the territory of Georgia, including for our mountain rifle divisions, and on the territory of Ukraine as we ready to share the victorious experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in hybrid war," Poroshenko said.
The President of Ukraine noted that Ukrainians were grateful to those Georgians who came to Ukraine in 2014 to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Poroshenko also said he was glad that the Georgian military participated in the Sea Breeze 2017 international exercises along with Ukrainian, American and Turkish sailors, which also indicates that the partnership between Ukraine and Georgia is "very strong, particularly, in the defense field."
