Militants launched 37 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 37 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO press center.

In Mariupol direction, militants used Grad rocket launcher systems, 82mm mortars, antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell positions of Ukrainian marines near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Ukrainian troops also came under 82mm mortar fire outside Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk). Militants fired at Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), using antitank grenade launchers and small arms.

In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian strongholds near Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). Ukrainian servicemen came under 82mm mortars and heavy machine gun fire near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). Terrorists also shelled ATO troops outside Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), using grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants used 120mm mortars and antitank grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian troops near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk). Moreover, ATO troops came under grenade launcher, heavy machine gun and small arms fire outside Valuiske (20km north-east of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk).
