In Mariupol direction, militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol). The enemy also launched attacks on Ukrainian strongholds outside Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), using 122mm artillery systems, 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. Ukrainian marines came under 82mm mortar, grenade launcher, heavy machine gun and small arms fire near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk).
In Donetsk direction, militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars to fire at ATO troops near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk). Ukrainian positions in Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) came under 120mm and 82mm mortar and grenade launcher fire. Terrorists also shelled Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), using 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants launched attacks on Ukrainian troops in Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), using 122mm artillery systems. ATO troops near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) came under 120mm mortar and machine gun fire. The enemy also used 82mm mortars and grenade launchers to shell Troitske (69km west of Luhansk).
“One Ukrainian serviceman was killed, another nine Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine over the past day,” Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesperson for ATO Oleksandr Motuzianyk said this at a press briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
