Some 394 enterprises work for defense industry in Ukraine

At present a total of 394 enterprises work for the defense industry in Ukraine. They provide over 200,000 specialists with jobs, state-run Ukroboronprom Concern reports.
“Starting from 2014, the concern initiated the signing of 20 memorandums with regional and city state administrations in the sphere of defense industry of Ukraine. Some 394 enterprises already work for the defense industry of Ukraine, and they provide over 200 thousand specialists with jobs. As a result of this, over 1,300 sets, units and components, which had been purchased in Russia until 2014, were replaced,” Volodymyr Korobov, Deputy Director General for the aviation industry and production at Ukroboronprom said.
He also added that such an example of Ukroboronprom regarding import replacement can be used in all sectors of the domestic industry.
