Ukrainian “Fantom” unmanned tactical multipurpose vehicle has entered Top 5 of the most interesting military vehicles of the prestigious international 2017 IDEX Defence Show, which is to be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko posted this on his Facebook page.

"Ukrainian ‘Fantom’ has entered Top 5 of the most interesting military vehicles among the thousands of exhibit items from 50 world countries represented at 2017 IDEX. Authoritative analytical outlet Defence Blog described our domestic unmanned tactical multipurpose vehicle as the most interesting modern fighting machine," the President wrote.

“The developers have integrated the anti-tank missile system ‘Barrier’ into ‘Fantom’. With such armament, the nearly invisible and mobile ‘Fantom’ is capable of striking heavy and light armoured targets at a distance of 100 to 5,000 meters. In addition, ‘Fantom’ is equipped with a stabilized rotating platform for different types of armament. Fire tests of ‘Fantom’ with the installed machine gun of 12.7 mm calibre confirmed the high efficiency of the new development,” reads the article, published on the Defence Blog website.
