FM Klimkin: Ukraine to continue participating in UN peacekeeping operations

Ukraine plans to actively participate its activities in the United Nations peacekeeping operations, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin stated at a UN Security Council meeting in New York.

“Ukraine attaches great importance to United Nations peacekeeping, given that it is one of the key objectives of the organization and an important tool for ensuring peace and long-term stability. Despite the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, we will continue to actively participate in UN peacekeeping operations,” the Ukrainian foreign minister stated, , own Ukrinform correspondent repots.

In addition, Foreign Minister Klimkin stated that Ukraine supports the need for closer integration of modern technologies and intelligence capabilities in the peacekeeping operations. According to him, it is important that country-contributors be fully provided with operational information about the local situation.
