"In particular, terrorists launched 23 attacks in Donetsk direction, 25 attacks – in Mariupol direction and 8 attacks in Luhansk direction. In Donetsk area, the Ukrainian strongholds in Avdiyivka [18km north of Donetsk] and Mayorske [45km north of Donetsk] were shelled from 120mm mortars, prohibited under the Minsk agreements. Our positions near Butovka coal mine [11.4km north-west of Donetsk], Avdiyivka and Zaitseve [67km north-north-east of Donetsk] also came under 82mm mortar fire," the report reads.
It is noted that the enemy does not stop the armed provocations in Mariupol area. The tensest situation was observed in Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), where the Russian-backed militants used 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
