"The enemy continues to violate the ceasefire, using heavy weapons from time to time. Militants shelled positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 17 times over the past day," the statement reads.
As noted, the majority of the attacks was recorded in Mariupol direction. There, terrorists used small arms, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian positions near Berezove (35km south-west of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).
Tense situation was also observed in Donetsk suburbs, where the Russian-terrorist troops fired at Ukrainian positions near Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk), using heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and 120mm mortars.
In addition, the terrorists used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops outside Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk).
