Ukraine’s Defense Minister not links escalation in Donbas to withdrawal of Russian troops from Syria

Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak said this at the briefing on the Yavoriv training ground in Lviv region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The escalation of hostilities in eastern Ukraine on the part of Russia is not linked to withdrawal of the Russian troops from Syria. In any case, we are in position to respond to the change of the situation," Poltorak said.

Defense Minister of Ukraine met with his Canadian colleague Harjit Singh Sajjan. In particular, the defense ministers visited the training session with participation of the Canadian instructors.
