Officers of Russian General Staff arrive in Donbas to train militants

According to operational data, the tutors from the Russian Federation have arrived in the territory of the so-called “LPR”. In addition, a group of officers of the General Staff of the Russian Federation arrived with them to check the system of operational and combat training of the illegal armed groups.

"In order to demonstrate their combat skills, the pro-Russian militants shelled the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Trokhizbenka [33km north-west of Luhansk] using heavy machine guns and 82mm mortars," reads the statement.
In addition, the shelling from 120mm mortars was recorded in Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) from 19:00 to 20:00 on Wednesday.
The ATO headquarters emphasize that the militants launched those attacks intentionally to demonstrate the Kremlin that they were ready to continue the escalation of the situation in Donbas at any time.
