Militants violate ceasefire 44 times in eastern Ukraine

"The pro-Russian mercenaries do not stop shelling our positions in the ATO area. The enemy was shelling our fortifications outside Luhanske [59km north-east of Donetsk], Opytne [11.5km north-west of Donetsk], Pisky [12km north-west of Donetsk], Novhorodske [34km north of Donetsk], Zaitseve [67km north-north-east of Donetsk], Marinka [35 km south-west of Donetsk]," reads the statement.

In addition, the tense situation was observed near the Donetsk Airport. The enemy fired on the Ukrainian positions from small arms, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems.

The militants shelled the Ukrainian troops a total of 44 times over the past day.
