SBU: Almost 3,000 soldiers released from captivity

As of December 21, a total of 2,957 soldiers held captive by terrorists of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic/Luhansk People’s Republic were released, according to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
“Today [December 21] a total of 2, 957 people have been freed,” Advisor to SBU Head Yuriy Tandit said, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
At the same time, according to him, 131 people are still held captive by militants.
As Ukrinform earlier reported, Iryna Heraschenko, presidential envoy for the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas, stated that 762 people had been reported missing.
