Ukrainians trust army same as church – President

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko states that currently Ukrainian people trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine same as the church, and the army has become one of the strongest in the continent during the war in eastern Ukraine.
President said this while meeting with the commanders of the combat units, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We have witnessed such trust in the Ukrainian army for the first time in history of Ukraine. Ukrainian people trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine same as the church. No other government body, including the Government of Ukraine and the President of Ukraine, enjoys such authority among Ukrainian population," the Head of State said.
The President also thanked the soldiers, saying, "During these 18 months, you have done enough to give reason to the leadership of the state and the leadership of the Armed Forces to state that we currently have one of the strongest armies in the continent."
