Police detain 17-year-old student who prepared two explosions in Kremenchuk
According to the case materials, the suspect planted two improvised explosive devices with remote activation near the police station.
Initially, the Russians planned to detonate one device on the night of April 17, and after emergency services arrived at the scene, activate the second bomb placed nearby.
Counterintelligence officers uncovered the plan and promptly neutralized the explosives at the site of the planned attack.
The SSU detained the agent after he had planted the explosives.

The investigation established that the task from Russia was carried out by a 17-year-old student of a local lyceum, who came to the attention of Russian special services while searching for easy money on Telegram channels.
After recruitment, following instructions from the handlers, he purchased components for two explosive devices and assembled them himself in a rented garage. He received money for this from a curator in Russia.
After agreeing on the location of the attack, the agent went there at night to plant the devices without witnesses.

During searches, law enforcement seized remaining components for the explosives and communication devices containing evidence of contacts with a Russian intelligence operative.
SSU investigators notified the suspect of charges under Part 2 of Article 15 and Part 1 of Article 258 (attempted terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The suspect is in custody and faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
As Ukrinform reported, the SSU also detained near Kyiv an agent of the Federal Security Service who took part in preparing a new series of missile and drone attacks on the capital region and conducted espionage on Defense Forces bases.
