SSU detains Russian agent who attempted to blow up Territorial Recruitment Center in Donetsk region
The SSU stated this on its website, Ukrinform reports.
According to the investigation, the suspect planned to place an improvised explosive device in a trash container near the entrance to the secured facility.

Russian special services intended to detonate the bomb remotely during rush hour.
At the moment of the explosion, the suspect planned to leave the Donetsk region in her own car and then head toward the western border to escape to Russia through third countries.
SSU officers thwarted the enemy's plan and detained the agent when she arrived at the location to meet a Russian drone that was supposed to deliver the explosive device.
At the scene, officers seized an improvised bomb from the suspect (nearly 2 kg in TNT equivalent) with metal fragments to increase the blast radius, as well as a mobile phone intended for remote detonation.
According to the case materials, the assignment from the Russians was carried out by a resident of Mykolaivka in the Kramatorsk district who had been recruited by the occupiers.

She came to the attention of the Russians after writing in Telegram channel chats about her hopes for the complete capture of the region.
During the investigation, it was also established that the agent had offered her handler in Russia the use of her home as a hidden transit base for Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
During searches, investigators seized a smartphone from the suspect that she used to coordinate her actions with a Russian intelligence officer.
SSU investigators have notified her of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The issue of additional charges related to preparing a terrorist attack is currently being considered.
The suspect is being held in custody without the possibility of bail. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
As Ukrinform previously reported, SSU counterintelligence also detained a Russian spy who attempted to get a job as a psychologist at a TCC.
