Ukrinform
The counterintelligence department of the Security Service of Ukraine has detained a woman in Sumy who was coordinating Russian attacks.

According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.

According to the case file, the suspect is a 36-year-old saleswoman at a local store. She came to the attention of the Russians through her husband, who lives in Kursk and cooperates with the Russian special services.

After being recruited remotely, the woman received a task from him to identify and transmit the geolocations of the Defense Forces in the Sumy region to the invaders.

To obtain information, the agent covertly questioned her acquaintance, an active member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She then drove to the area in her own car to conduct reconnaissance near Ukrainian facilities.

During these trips, she photographed defense locations and marked their locations on Google Maps. She then summarized the information she had gathered for an intelligence report to the FSB.

Thanks to the prompt response of SSU counterintelligence officers, the Russian agent was detained at her place of residence.

During a search, her smartphone was seized, which contained geolocation data for potential targets and records of her coordinated actions with the FSB.

SSU investigators informed her that she was suspected of violating Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy under martial law).

The perpetrator is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Since the suspect's husband is an FSB liaison officer who is currently in Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice.
