Court sentences Khmelnytskyi resident to five years in prison for false bomb threat against TCC
The Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office stated this on its website, Ukrinform reports.
"In February 2025, a 52-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi, while intoxicated, called the 102 emergency line and deliberately reported false information about the mining of the premises of the Khmelnytskyi District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center. By his actions, he created a threat to public safety and disrupted the operation of a state institution," the statement said.
It is noted that after his detention, the man was held in custody. He was found guilty of deliberately making a false report about the preparation of an explosion in a building that ensures the functioning of state authorities (Part 2, Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Taking into account his previous convictions, the court sentenced him to five years and two months of imprisonment.
As Ukrinform previously reported, in Kyiv a court sentenced a man to three years in prison for making a false report about the mining of a court building in the Darnytskyi district.
