The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and the Security Service of Ukraine have exposed a criminal group led by a member of the Ukrainian parliament.

NABU's press service stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"NABU and SAP, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, have exposed a criminal group headed by a Ukrainian MP. Initial investigative actions are ongoing," the statement reads.

The bureau promised to provide details of the case later.

According to media reports, the MP in question is Anna Skorokhod.

As reported earlier, Anna Skorokhod entered parliament as a candidate from the Servant of the People party, winning the 93rd single-member district in Kyiv region.

On December 3, 2019, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov announced the removal of MPs Anton Polyakov and Anna Skorokhod from the Servant of the People faction. This followed a corresponding decision by the faction.

The faction's first deputy chair, Oleksandr Korniyenko, stated that the reason for expelling the MPs was their violation of "agreements regarding voting and teamwork on issues on which the entire faction is in agreement."

On November 14, 2019, Skorokhod stated during a session of the Verkhovna Rada that her husband had been detained allegedly on the orders of deputy heads of the President's Office and the Prosecutor General, because she did not follow the faction's unified position during the vote on the land market bill.

Anna Skorokhod later joined the parliamentary group For the Future.
