Berkut officers, involved in shooting Maidan activists, hide in Russia – PGO

Dmytro Sadovnyk, the former commander of the special purpose company of Berkut riot police force, suspected of crimes against Euromaidan, is hiding in the Russian-occupied Crimea.

Head of the Special Investigations Unit at the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine Serhiy Horbatiuk said this on the air of ICTV Ukrainian TV channel, referring to operational data.

"According to operational data, he is in Simferopol now," the Ukrayinska Pravda Ukrainian online newspaper quotes him as saying.

According to Horbatiuk, the majority of former Berkut officers, suspected of murders of the Euromaidan activists in 2014, is hiding in the territory of Russia now.
