Ukrainian TV cameraman Oleksandr Vernihorov killed on front line
Oleksandr Vernihorov, a television cameraman from Dnipro who was serving in Ukraine's Defense Forces, was killed while fighting on the Kharkiv front.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine announced the news, citing its Dnipropetrovsk regional branch, Ukrinform reports.

Vernihorov voluntarily joined Ukraine's Defense Forces in July 2022 and had been serving on the front line ever since.

Before his mobilization, he worked for many years as a cameraman for Channel 9 in Dnipro. His last place of employment was the Vidkrytyi TV channel.

He was killed on June 28 at the age of 36.

Colleagues remembered Vernihorov as a responsible, courageous, and dedicated professional. Journalist Oleksandr Koptiev said he remembered him as "always focused and straightforward at work," describing him as a true professional who could always be relied upon.
