Russian drone hits apartment building in Chuhuiv, fire breaks out, three women injured

In Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, a Russian drone struck a residential building, sparking a fire on two floors and injuring three women.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, according to Ukrinform.

"In Chuhuiv, a hostile drone strike hit the fifth floor of a multi-story residential building. As a result of the attack, apartments on the fourth and fifth floors caught fire," the statement said.

Information about the victims and the extent of the damage is currently being clarified, the regional governor added.

All emergency services are working at the scene.

Later, Chuhuiv Mayor Halyna Minaieva provided updated details on the strike.

"According to clarified information, three women sought medical assistance following the drone strike on the apartment building: one with injuries and two suffering from acute stress reactions," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

All the women received the necessary medical assistance.
