There is no confirmation of Russia's use of Skorlupa USV, says Pletenchuk

Ukraine considers the possibility of Russia using a new marine drone called Skorlupa. Currently, there is no confirmation of its use.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated on television by Dmytro Pletenchuk, Ukrainian Naval Forces spokesman.

"We consider any such threats to be real and proceed from possible dangers. I cannot say I have confirmation of its use. These drones are dangerous to use. As for the danger, again, we expect that the enemy may use such means of attack, and therefore, accordingly, we take this into account in our daily activities," Pletenchuk said.

As he noted, in the case of the Skorlupa USV, the enemy is trying to copy Ukraine's successful experience. However, using this technology takes time.

“In any case, if you are being copied, it means that you are ahead. It should be understood that such technologies always require some time for testing, for trying out the technology, correcting mistakes, and this time is usually quite long,” Pletenchuk said.

As reported, Russia has tested the Skorlupa marine drone, which can carry FPV drones.
