Enemy attacks DTEK miners’ bus in Dnipropetrovsk region, killing 15 and injuring seven
This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, according to Ukrinform.
“The enemy targeted a UAV next to a company bus belonging to one of the enterprises in the Pavlohrad district. According to preliminary information, 12 people were killed and 7 more were injured,” he said.
All details are currently being clarified.
“Russia has carried out a large-scale terrorist attack on DTEK mines in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The epicenter of one of the attacks was a work bus that was transporting miners from the enterprise after their shift in the Dnipropetrovsk region,” DTEK said in a statement on Telegram.
“At the moment, 15 miners are known to have died. According to preliminary information, seven miners were also injured,” DTEK said.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal clarified on Facebook that Russian drones hit a service bus belonging to an energy company near the Ternivska mine in the Pavlohrad district.
He noted that it was a “cynical and deliberate attack” on energy sector workers.
Shmyhal expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.
“The enemy will definitely answer for the crimes committed,” the deputy prime minister stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army struck the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region the day before. One person was killed and seven others were wounded.
