SSU drones damage pipelines, oil storage tanks at Tamanneftegaz terminal – source

Drones of the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine struck the infrastructure of the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in Russia's Krasnodar Territory.

A source in the SSU reported this to Ukrinform.

According to the source, this port is one of the largest in the Black Sea region and provides transshipment of oil, gas, and ammonia. Its tank farm for storing petroleum products and liquefied gas exceeds 1 million cubic meters.

According to the security service, the attack damaged technological pipelines at the berths. A number of tanks containing vacuum gas oil as well as fuel oil storage tanks were also damaged.

In particular, damage to shut-off valves was recorded, which led to leaks of petroleum products followed by ignition. The total area of the fire was about 7,000 square meters.

Preliminary estimates put the damage at around $50 million.

"The SSU continues to systematically strike key energy and export arteries of the Russian Federation that ensure revenue to the aggressor state's budget and directly finance the war against Ukraine. Hitting such facilities is critically important for weakening the enemy's economic and logistical capabilities," the informed SSU source emphasized.

As Ukrinform previously reported, long-range drones of the SSUvs Alpha Special Operations Center successfully struck two enemy facilities deep in Russia's rear.
