The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, stated this during a TV broadcast, Ukrinform's correspondent reports.

"More than 200 of our energy workers are working almost around the clock, more than 30 crews. And I thank them once again, because our energy workers are among the bravest. They restore electricity immediately if the security situation allows, because the enemy is trying to destroy everything here," Filashkin said.

He emphasized that gas workers and all utility services in the Donetsk region are also doing everything possible to support the population during this most difficult winter.

"All mobile communication towers are supplied with backup power, and we are working directly with our mobile operators. Because we understand that stable communication in the Donetsk region must be ensured without fail," the head of the Regional Military Administration added.

As Ukrinform previously reported, over the past day Russian troops carried out 1,631 strikes on Donetsk region, damaging 32 civilian facilities.
