Syrskyi: Russia aims to scale up drone attacks to 1,000 per day
This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi in an interview with LB.ua, Ukrinform reports.
"The enemy plans to significantly ramp up production to use up to 1,000 drones a day. Therefore, of course, we must do everything to disrupt these plans and inflict losses on the enemy that will force them to abandon their active operations and create conditions for negotiations. Because no one negotiates with the weak," Syrskyi said.
According to him, Russia currently produces 404 Shahed drones of various types daily.
"We see the enemy’s actions, and there are no signs that they are preparing for any peace negotiations or initiatives on the battlefield. On the contrary, we see an increase in the intensity of combat, the buildup of offensive enemy units, and a growth in the production of strike weapons, missiles, and drones," Syrskyi emphasized.
He stressed that it is necessary to continue effective combat operations to minimize the enemy’s fighting potential as much as possible.
As reported, this week Russia has used over 1,300 attack drones, approximately 1,050 guided aerial bombs, and 29 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
