Russian attack damages boiler house in Kramatorsk district
According to Ukrinform, the Kramatorsk City Council reported this on Facebook.
"As a result of a recent Russian strike, the boiler house that provided heating to the Kondytsioner neighborhood has been destroyed," the report reads.
Specialists from the heating supply company, together with representatives of the Ladis management company, are taking all possible measures to restore heating.
"The situation is complicated by a significant drop in air temperature. Under such conditions, in order to prevent water from freezing and damaging pipelines in the absence of heat supply, the management company is forced to drain water from the heating and water supply systems," the city council said.
Residents of the neighborhood are warned that the management company does not have the technical ability to drain water from plumbing fixtures located directly inside apartments (siphons, toilets, cisterns, water heaters, faucets, etc.). Water left in these fixtures may freeze and cause damage, leading to significant material losses, the city council said.
Residents are urged to remove water from in-apartment plumbing fixtures themselves and to treat the situation with understanding.
"These measures are necessary to protect your property, prevent major financial losses, and avoid the complete destruction of in-building utility networks," the council said.
On January 4, Russian invaders struck a medical facility in Kramatorsk, injuring one person.
