Invaders intensify repression against civilians in occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region – Atesh
According to Ukrinform, the Atesh partisan movement reported this on Telegram.
"Atesh agents from among Russian Armed Forces servicemen are recording a shift in the focus of punitive bodies in Vasylivka and Kamianske. In particular, in the area of responsibility of the 1152nd Motorized Rifle Regiment stationed there, personnel have been instructed to carry out harsh 'preventive measures' against the civilian population," the report said.
Instead of ideological slogans, the concept of "preventive elimination of threats" is now being used, effectively giving the military a carte blanche for any actions against civilians. The command is instilling the belief that no loyal local residents remain in these frontline settlements, and therefore any contact with the population must begin with a search and a check for connections to Ukraine's Defense Forces.
In Kamianske, Russian troops, supported by the commandant's office, are conducting raids on basements and private homes, seizing all equipment and mobile phones.
"People are taken in for 'conversations' simply for having Ukrainian apps on their smartphones. Such detentions often end with ordinary looting of property, which is then reported as 'seizure of equipment used for sabotage activities'," the partisans said.
Atesh added that they are recording the names of officers compiling lists of "unreliable" citizens, as well as rank-and-file executors involved in abducting people.
