The Ukrainian Defense Forces are making maximum efforts to halt enemy advances and currently control the northern part of Pokrovsk, while in Myrnohrad Ukrainian troops are conducting active defense operations.

This was reported on Facebook by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, according to Ukrinform.

He noted that the operational situation on the Pokrovsk front is the most challenging, with roughly fifty combat engagements occurring daily.

Syrskyi visited military units carrying out combat missions in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad tactical area.

The enemy is attempting to increase pressure on the Ukrainian defensive positions, deploying additional reserves and seeking opportunities to advance, including through infiltration and repeated assaults.

“Our troops are making maximum efforts to stop the enemy’s advance and destroy their personnel and equipment. The northern part of Pokrovsk is under our control. We are halting the enemy in Myrnohrad. We are conducting active defense,” Syrskyi stated.

Based on field reports, the Commander-in-Chief clarified tasks for army corps and brigade commanders. He outlined a set of specific measures to strengthen defensive resilience and ensure the uninterrupted operation of key logistical routes, directly affecting the delivery of ammunition and reinforcements to our soldiers.

Commanders were instructed to maintain combat readiness while safeguarding the lives of Ukrainian defenders – the most valuable asset we have.

“These battles are characterized by high intensity and dynamism, yet Ukrainian soldiers act decisively and professionally, demonstrating strength, endurance, and coordination,” Syrskyi emphasized.
