Fires extinguished after Russian attack on ports in Odesa region

Rescuers have extinguished all fires caused by Russian military strikes on port infrastructure in the Odesa region.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

The attack triggered large-scale fires, damaging administrative buildings and cargo trucks.

The response to the Russian strikes was complicated by repeated aerial threats.

As previously reported, in the afternoon of January 7, Russian forces struck two ports in the Odesa region. The attack damaged port facilities, administrative buildings, and containers of oil. Two people were confirmed dead and eight injured.
