War update: over 190 clashes on frontline, 50 assaults repelled in Pokrovsk sector

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook in an update on the situation as of 8:00 on Friday, December 19.

“A total of 193 combat engagements were recorded over the past day,” the statement reads.

According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy carried out 74 air strikes, dropping 154 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces conducted 4,281 shelling attacks, including 126 using multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 5,836 kamikaze drones.

Over the past day, aircraft, missile troops, and artillery of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck three clusters of enemy personnel, three command posts, and one artillery system of the Russian invaders.

Russian invaders launched air strikes, in particular, on areas near the settlements of Oleksandrohrad in Donetsk region; Havrylivka and Khrystoforivka in Dnipropetrovsk region; Lisne, Orikhiv, Balabyne, and Malokaterynivka in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks. The enemy carried out three air strikes, dropped eight guided aerial bombs, and conducted 176 shelling attacks, including seven using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian troops stopped nine enemy attacks near Starytsia, Prylipky, Vovchansk, and toward Okhrimivka and Dovhenke.

In the Kupiansk sector, nine enemy attacks occurred yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled assault operations toward the settlements of Kurylivka, Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Novoplatonivka, and Kupiansk.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 10 times, attempting to break into Ukrainian defenses toward Chervonyi Stav, Stavky, Drobysheve, and near the settlements of Novoiehorivka and Zarichne.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Serebrianka and Zvanivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 28 attacks near Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Rusyn Yar, and toward Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 50 enemy assault actions near the settlements of Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward Toretske, Nove Shakhove, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrohrad sector, the enemy carried out 22 attacks yesterday near the settlements of Tolstoi, Oleksandrohrad, Stepove, Pryvilne, Verbove, Krasnohirske, Zlahoda, Rybne, and toward Andriivka-Klevtsove, Ivanivka, Lisne, and Nove Zaporizhzhia.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 19 Russian attacks near Solodke, Zelene, Huliaipole, and toward Varvarivka and Dobropillia.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses toward Novoandriivka, Prymorske, and in the area of Plavni.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces carried out two unsuccessful offensive actions toward Antonivka.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected.

As reported by Ukrinform, total combat losses of Russian forces since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to December 19, 2025 are estimated at approximately 1,194,520 personnel, including 1,220 over the past day.
