War update: 167 clashes reported on front lines, nearly one-third of battles occur in Pokrovsk sector

Since the start of the day, 167 combat engagements have been recorded between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops. The enemy has launched more than fifty attacks on the Pokrovsk sector, while also showing increased activity in the Huliaipole, Kupiansk, Lyman, and Oleksandrohrad sectors.

This was reported on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

Today, Russian forces shelled Mykolaivka in the Chernihiv region, as well as Pryvillia and Rohizne in the Sumy region with mortars and artillery.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, ten combat engagements have taken place since the start of the day. In these areas, the invaders carried out 71 shelling attacks, including seven using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks in the areas of Prylipky and Synelnykove, as well as toward Izbytske, Obukhivka, and Kolodiazne.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian army made 22 attempts to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions toward Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Pishchane, Novoplatonivka, and Holubivka. Ten combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 22 times in the area of Torske and toward Stepove, Korovyn Yar, Zarichne, Drobysheve, and Novoselivka. Thirteen engagements are currently ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops attempted four times to advance on Defense Forces positions in the areas of Siversk and Serebrianka, toward Pazeno. Two engagements are still underway.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attempted once to advance toward Bondarne.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy made nine attempts to break into Ukrainian defenses near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka. Five engagements are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian army has already carried out 52 attempts today to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Kotlyne and Udachne, as well as toward Rivne, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Zvirove, Serhiivka, Novopavlivka, and Filiia. The Defense Forces are holding the line, having already repelled 41 attacks.

In the Oleksandrohrad sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 assault actions. In this sector, the enemy is attempting to advance in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Krasnohirske, and Zlahoda, toward Ivanivka, Iskra, Oleksandrohrad, Verbove, and Pryvilne. One engagement is ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, 25 combat engagements took place in the area of Solodke and toward Varvarivka and Huliaipole. Three clashes are still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces made seven unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Shcherbaky and Stepove, toward Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, and Prymorske. The invaders also carried out an airstrike on the area of Novoyakovlivka.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian troops in the Donetsk region are attempting to break through toward Hryshyne, northwest of Pokrovsk, and are also intensifying pressure on the southeastern areas of Myrnohrad.
