An explosion was heard in Kharkiv at around 8:15 p.m.
This was reported by a correspondent for Ukrinform.
Prior to this, the Air Force warned of a ballistic threat and a high-speed target in the Kharkiv region.
The air raid alert remains in effect.
“According to preliminary information, the enemy launched a missile strike on the Sloboda district of Kharkiv. At this moment, there is no information about casualties,” Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, later reported on Telegram.
Details are being clarified, and the threat remains, the head of the Regional Military Administration added.
As reported, a Russian air strike damaged a cemetery in the Saltivsky district of Kharkiv.
