Russian shelling damages Kherson trolleybus depot, 19 vehicles hit

Russian forces attacked the trolleybus depot in Kherson with artillery during the night, damaging the overhead contact network, production facilities, administrative building, and 19 trolleybuses.

This was reported on Facebook by Head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko, according to Ukrinform.

“During the night, for about an hour and a half, Russian invaders were shelling the area of the trolleybus depot,” the statement reads.

As noted, the shelling damaged the contact wire network, production facilities, and the administrative building; 19 trolleybuses were damaged — windows shattered, bodies deformed. No employees of the municipal enterprise were injured.

Specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage.

Electric public transport has been temporarily suspended.

The administration reported that as of 8:00, 48 buses were operating on city routes.

As reported by Ukrinform, on December 2, Russian forces shelled Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district hitting a municipal enterprise, damaging buildings, vehicles, and the contact network.
