About 4,500 civilians remain in Kostiantynivka
Dmytro Petlin, head of the Operational Duty Service, Alerting and Communication of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated this at an online briefing, Ukrinform reports.
"In Kostiantynivka, the number of people who currently remain there is about 4,500, that is in the city itself. And in the wider community, it is slightly more, 4,560 people. Evacuation measures, as far as I know, have become very complicated in recent days and have almost been suspended," Petlin said.
He noted that about 190 people were evacuated from the Kostiantynivka community over the past week.
"But the fighting there has intensified greatly; evacuation continued during the week, but in the last couple of days it has become very difficult," he added, describing the situation in the community.
As reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of Wednesday morning, November 26, the enemy carried out 20 attacks in the Kostiantynivka direction — in the areas of Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Kostiantynivka, Shcherbynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Mykolaipillia and Novopavlivka.
