Russians attempt to surround Myrnohrad - AFU
This was reported by the press service of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“The nature of the enemy's actions indicates their intention to cut off land communication between Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk in the near future. The Russians intend to surround the city, moving towards the settlements of Rivne and Svitle,” the report says.
Airborne assault units are holding back the movement of Russian troops in the Krasnyi Lyman area.
The Russians are preparing to storm the northern part of Myrnohrad with small infantry groups. The enemy is moving around the clock and using aerial drones to correct its movements.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are reinforcing the Ukrainian group in the city to defend the southern outskirts. In this area, the enemy is trying to accumulate manpower for further attempts to advance.
In the northeast of Myrnohrad, the 38th Separate Marine Brigade captured four Russian invaders who were trying to storm the city. Three of the detainees are former prisoners who were released after signing military contracts.
According to the Russians, they lived in the basement of a building in a neighboring settlement for four days before the assault. The attackers had no food or water.
After their detention, Ukrainian defenders provided the prisoners with all necessary conditions and assistance in accordance with international humanitarian law.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Forces are organizing additional logistics routes to Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad to ensure the uninterrupted supply of everything necessary to combat units.
