Russia reports attack by nearly 100 drones, including on Moscow

This was reported by the BBC Russian Service, according to Ukrinform.

It is noted that 45 drones were allegedly shot down over Belgorod region, nine over Krasnodar Krai, seven over Nizhny Novgorod region, four over Voronezh region, 20 over the Black Sea, and eight over the Sea of Azov.

Later, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced a drone attack on the Russian capital, claiming that it was shot down by air-defense forces.

“Air-defense forces of the Ministry of Defense destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle that attacked Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the site where the debris fell,” Sobyanin reported.

He provided no further details.

Against this backdrop, Russia’s aviation authority, Rosaviatsia, announced that temporary restrictions on takeoff and landing had been introduced at several Moscow airports — Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky — on Monday. The restrictions were lifted shortly afterward.

As reported by Ukrinform earlier, Ukrainian air-defense forces shot down 125 out of 162 drones that Russia launched against Ukraine in the evening of November 23.
