Some homes in Zaporizhzhia are experiencing power outages lasting 14–16 hours, and authorities are warning residents to prepare for an even more difficult situation.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said this during the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

“The situation with the power schedules is quite difficult. Residents complain that the schedules are very strict — some homes have no electricity for 14–16 hours. People also complain that the schedules keep changing, but we must prepare for an even worse situation,” Fedorov said.

He clarified that the region is preparing for the possibility that everything will have to operate on autonomous generators.

According to Fedorov, in order to slightly ease the outage schedules in certain groups, authorities are considering disconnecting even more administrative buildings and switching them to generators.
