A new power line is being built in the Zaporizhzhia region. It will serve as a backup for one of the settlements suffering from enemy attacks.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

He noted that energy workers are currently working to restore electricity in Novomykolaivka, a settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region that was left without power a week ago due to enemy attacks.

"This is the settlement that was left without electricity for almost three days after the enemy attacked a substation in a neighboring region. Thanks to the energy workers, power has already been restored," he said.

Fedorov added that a new power line is also being built.

"It will serve as a backup for one of the frontline settlements located closest to the front line in terms of power supply," he clarified.

As reported, energy workers were unable to restore power to Novomykolaivka for a long time due to the security situation. The enemy had attacked the settlement with drones.
